If you are given the option to stay at the pond go for it! I am traveling in a self contained converted van. The sounds of the birds, water bugs, frogs created a beautiful cacophony. Dennis had firewood so a fire at dusk till darkened night lent another layer to my experience. No one else around just lotsa nature on a pond rimmed with trees and tall grasses in the middle of acres planted in soybean and corn. Dennis was very accommodating. Loved my overnight experience at Frakers Grove On the pond.

This place is amazing!!! Dennis is a great host and one of the nicest people you'll meet. Our site by the pond is fantastic. Listening to the birds and frogs as you sit by the fire is perfect. The stars at night are pretty special also. I highly recommend a trip to the farm. I can't say enough…

I loved my night camping on Dennis's land. When I arrived, he led me back to the campsite which was located next to the pond. It was completely private and surrounded by fields. He told me a bit of the interesting history of the land as well. Once the sun went down I was surrounded by lightening bugs and fell asleep to the sounds of all the little creatures living on the pond. I highly recommend this camp spot if you are truly looking to relax in solitude and enjoy nature.

I loved the pond side site. It was as described and so private and beautiful. It was exactly what we needed it to be.

Our Story

At Frakers Grove Farm, our mission is to offer an authentic agricultural experience far from the crowds of traditional parks and campgrounds. As a working row crop farm specializing in high-quality corn and soybeans, we’re committed to sustainable practices and preserving the land for future generations.

Our story is deeply rooted in history—from its early days as a Potawatomi village to becoming the homestead of Michael Fraker, the first permanent settler in northeastern Knox County. We honor that heritage while continuing to grow, adapt, and diversify.

We invite you to explore the natural beauty, quiet charm, and genuine farm life that make Frakers Grove Farm a truly unique retreat.
